Carbon Black Cloud: Scanhost.log.tmp File Consumes Excessive Disk Space

Issue/Introduction

Sudden Excessive Disk Usage by scanhost.log.tmp file under Programdata\CarbonBlack\Logs\scanhost.log.tmp.

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: 3.6.x and higher version.
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Cause

This issue is caused due to Malfunction of the Scanner engine and also due to frequent RepMGR Crash.

Resolution

• This issue is fixed in Sensor Version 3.8.0.398
• Upgrade the sensor to the 3.8.0.398 version to resolve the issue permanently
