Where is the cfg.ini file located?

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: All Versions
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Resolution

• In sensor version 3.6 and below, the cfg.ini is located in C:\Program Files\Confer
• Starting in sensor version 3.7, the cfg.ini has been moved to %programdata%\CarbonBlack\DataFiles (typically C:\ProgramData\CarbonBlack\DataFiles\cfg.ini)

Additional Information

• There have been no changes made to the install or uninstall log locations in 3.7+ sensors
• In addition to the recent change, the 3.7+ repcli capture has been updated to capture all relevant logs and datafiles from the correct log locations.
