Endpoint Standard: Cannot upgrade sensor due to missing elam file

Issue/Introduction

• Sensor fails to upgrade via console
• C:\Windows\ELAMBKUP does not contain a copy of CbELAM.sys

Environment

• Endpoint Standard Sensor: 3.5.0.1523 - 3.6.0.X

Cause

The sensor requires a copy of CbELAM.sys to perform the upgrade

Resolution

Reboot the device to allow the sensor to re-create the backup file.

Additional Information

• The issue is fully resolved in sensor version 3.7
• The sensor will upgrade during the next check-in if upgrade was sent via console
