EDR: Sensor Count Dropped After Changes to Sensorsettings.ini

Issue/Introduction

• Sensors are no longer checking in
• Recent changes were made to sensorsettings.ini

Environment

• EDR Server: All Versions
• Linux: All Supported Versions
• EDR MacOS Sensor: All Supported Versions
• EDR Linux Sensor: All Supported Versions

Cause

The sensorsettings.ini file contains the communication configurations for MacOS and Linux sensors. If this file is wrong, the Sensors will no longer be able to check into the server. 

Resolution

Replace sensorsettings.ini. This file can be retrieved from a Sensor download package if a backup is no longer available.
