Issue/Introduction

System Event Logs show "Application Management Group Policy" event with error %%1274

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Windows Sensor: All Supported Versions
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Cause

GPO is not able to process the install

Resolution

Potential resolutions are included below

• Confirm the endpoint has access to the share where the MSI and MST files are being stored
• Enable “Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon"
  1. Edit the GPO that applied to the computer using Group Policy Management Editor
  2. Expand Computer Settings > Policies > Administrative Templates > System > Logon
  3. Set “Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon” to Enabled
• Enable “Startup policy processing wait time” and set it to 90 seconds
  1. Edit the GPO that applied to the computer using Group Policy Management Editor
  2. Expand Computer Settings > Policies > Administrative Templates > System > Group Policy
  3. Set “Startup policy processing wait time” to Enabled and set it to 90 seconds
