Issue/Introduction
The Workloads Appliance Certificate has expired after 90 days
Environment
- NSX: All Supported Versions
- Workloads Appliance: 1.2.0
Cause
The Certificate should automatically renew but can be renewed manually if needed
Resolution
The certificate can be renewed manually with the following steps
- Un-register NSX from CWP Appliance. Make sure to use force option
- Delete all CWP created certificates from NSX manager
- Re-register NSX from CWP Appliance
Additional Information
- Deleting all CWP created certificates from NSX manager may include deleting the CWP account which is an Enterprise Admin
- The CWP account will be recreated during the re-register of NSX
- The NSX functionality should still work when the certificate is expired
- If there is an error deleting all CWP certificates NSX-T support may be able to assist
