EDR: The Sensor Version In Apps and Features Doesn't Change With Sensor Install

Issue/Introduction

When upgrading or installing 7.x versions of the EDR sensor the version in Apps and Features doesn't change

Environment

• EDR Server: All Supported Versions
• EDR Windows Sensor: 7.0 to 7.2

Cause

This is most likely to happen when the original install is done via MSI and then upgraded

Resolution

• A fix is being worked on for the next sensor version to make sure the version in Apps and Features is updated
• This value doesn't affect the normal behavior of the sensor and can be ignored

Additional Information

• This registry key can be imported from a working machine if needed
• The incorrect/missing registry key is located under HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ (search for Carbon Black)
