CB Protection: How to Prevent the Server From Listening on Port 80

Issue/Introduction

Turn off port 80 in IIS for the Protection Server to reduce open ports

Environment

• CB Protection Server: All Supported Versions

Resolution

1. Log into the Application Server
2. Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
3. In the Connections pane, expand the Server Name > Sites > Select "Parity Console Web"
4. On the right side under "Actions". Select "Bindings..."
5. Hightlight the http binding and click Remove
6. Run cmd as administrator and run iisreset
