App Control: Computer "Not Found" When Adding Trusted Directory

Issue/Introduction

• Trying to add or search for a computer to add to a Trusted Directory fails with a message including Computer (Unique Message) and "Not Found"
• The %Program Files%\Bit9\Parity Console\WebUI\Logs\php_errors.txt may display certificate errors

Environment

• App Control: All Supported Versions

Cause

This can happen if the Server Certificate's Common Name doesn't match the Server name of the App Control Server

Resolution

1. Regenerate the Console Certificate with the Common Name of the Server making sure that all alternate names are included as SAN entries
2. Export the Certificate to disk to import into IIS
