Sensor Gateway: Sensor Install Fails With "Error Occurred While Trying to Register to Cloud" With Proxy

Issue/Introduction

• sgw-service.log may show the following errors during sensor installs
• "Error occurred while trying to register to cloud" 
• "503 Service Unavailable"
• "upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers. reset reason: connection failure"

Environment

• Sensor Gateway: Versions below 1.2
• Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: All Supported Versions

Cause

Having a proxy in between the Sensor Gateway and the Carbon Black Cloud

Resolution

• The Sensor Gateway proxy support is now available in 1.2 and above
• This error can be seen if not running a version which supports a proxy
