Yum Install Fails with "Failed to Download Metadata for Repo"

Issue/Introduction

Server install fails with status code 404 when running "yum Install cb-enterprise" or with an error similar to

"error: failed to download metadata for repo 'CarbonBlack': cannot download repomd.xml: cannot download repodata/repmd.xml: All mirrors were tried"

Environment

• EDR Server: All Supported Versions
• RHEL/CentOS: 8.x  and Higher

Cause

The RHEL/CentOS version being installed on is not supported by the server version being installed so there is no appropriate release version

Resolution

Check the Server Versions and Operating Systems documentation for the OS being installed on to confirm it's supported

Additional Information

• CentOS is no longer supported by Red Hat and the repos may be offline
• EDR Server Version 7.9.1 only supports up to RHEL 8.10
