Issue/Introduction

Can DefaultAppPool run as a built-in account during server Install?

Environment

  • CB Protection Server: All Versions
  • IIS DefaultAppPool

Resolution

The 'DefaultAppPool' can not be run with a built-in account during setup of the CB Protection Server.

Additional Information

  • The 'DefaultAppPool' must run with a service account that has appropriate permissions/credentials to access the 'das' database.
  • OER Manual states: "CB Protection must be run within the DefaultAppPool application pool. Using a different app pool results in the CB Protection server not having the appropriate credentials to access the SQL Server database"
