Carbon Black EDR (formerly Cb Response)

Issue/Introduction

Administrator wants to change the default timeout of the Console UI session (default is 5 minutes)

Environment

  • CB Response Server: 6.0.1 and Higher

Resolution

  1. Edit /etc/cb/cb.conf
vi /etc/cb/cb.conf
  1. Change SessionTimeout to desired value in seconds
    1. SessionTimeout=900 (900 seconds = 15 minutes)
  2. Restart Cb services or the cluster.
/usr/share/cb/cbcluster stop
/usr/share/cb/cbcluster start

Additional Information

This value cannot be changed on CB Response Cloud Instances
