Cb Protection: Unable to Access Console (Page Cannot be Displayed)

Issue/Introduction

• Cb Protection Console is inaccessible with one of the following errors:

This page cannot be displayed
This page cannot be displayed - enable TLS 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2

• TLS 1.0,1.1, and 1.2 is enabled

Environment

• Carbon Black Protection: All Versions
• Microsoft Internet Information Services

Resolution

1. Log into the Application Server
2. Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
3. In the Connections pane, expand the Server Name > Sites > Select "Parity Console Web"
4. On the right side under "Actions". Select "Bindings..."
5. Select "https/443" > Edit
6. Under the SSL certificate, select "WMSVC" > Ok
7. Repeat Steps 5 and 6, but this time select the "Cb Protection Console Certificate"
8. Restart the IIS web server from the "Actions" menu on right

Additional Information

• This process rebinds the Console Certificate to IIS
• The cause is unknown as to why IIS loses the binding. Most generally we see this after IIS configurations have been altered or removed.
