Issue/Introduction

• Linux endpoints are failing to download the upgrade package
• Error: Failed to download upgrade package: http(s)://<SERVER IP>/hostpkg/pkg.php?pkg=/Bit9Redhat7Install.bsx. Error[00000007 (FFFFFFFF)]

Environment

App Control Linux Agent: 7.x
App Control Server: 7.x - 8.x
 

Cause

Port used for agent upgrade downloads (443/80) is not open between the impacted endpoints and the App Control server.

Resolution

Confirm that TCP port 443/80 from App Control Agent inbound to App Control Server is allowed.
