Datastore logs grow with error 'Connection to localhost:5002 refused'

Issue/Introduction

• Several debug.log files are created in a short time in /var/log/cb/datastore
• Error in log:

  • Error initializing DB connection 
    org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: Connection to localhost:5002 refused. Check that the hostname and port are correct and that the postmaster is accepting TCP/IP connections.

• Server has higher than usual disk usage

Environment

• EDR Server: All Supported Versions

Cause

• Postgres is not running at the time Datastore attempts to make a connection
• The server is intermittently running out of disk space, possibly to a cold core that hasn't been deleted

Resolution

1. Clear up any residual disk space issues
2. Resolve issues preventing Postgres from starting. If unable to resolve, reach out to Technical Support with server diags
