Issue/Introduction

• Citrix Receiver Application has stopped working
• Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library: Runtime Error!
• API Bypass rules do not correct application crashing

Environment

• Carbon Black PSC Sensor: 3.2.1.51 and higher
• Citrix Receiver: 3.4.0.29577

Cause

• The exact cause of this issue is unknown; however, the following can be observed in the Windows Event Logs
  • Faulting application name: Receiver.exe, version: 3.4.0.29577, time stamp: 0x50cb5ee3 
  • Faulting module name: MSVCR80.dll, version: 8.0.50727.4940, time stamp: 0x4ca2b271 

Resolution

• Citrix Receiver should be updated to a version newer than 3.4.0.29577
