Carbon Black Cloud: System hangs when installing Symantec's Autoprotect component when CBC for Linux is present

Issue/Introduction

System will hang when attempting to install and load Symantec's "Autoprotect" component when the CBC 2.7.0187460 for Linux is installed

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Linux sensor: 2.7.0.187460
• Symantec Endpoint Protection for Linux: 14.2.5323.2000
• Linux: CentOS 6

Cause

The issue is due to the result of a interoperability issue between Carbon Black Cloud and Symantec's modules.

Resolution

Security kernel modules such as Carbon Black Cloud and Symantec, always need to be unloaded in the reverse order in which they were installed, as such Carbon Black Cloud for Linux should be installed prior to installing Symantec Endpoint Protection.
