Do the App Control Server/Reporter Services stop at anytime when upgrading the host package installer? 

Environment

• App Control Server: All Versions
• Host Package Installer: All Versions 

Resolution

Yes, the App Control Server/Reporter services will automatically stop, then re-start when the host package installer file is being upgraded.



 

Additional Information

• App Control Server/Reporter services are stopped to perform updates to the 'das' database
• Services will remain stopped until all updates are performed
• Connection speed to the 'das' database will determine the amount of time services will be down before restarting
