Upload File Action Is Missing

Issue/Introduction

Upload File is missing from the Console from various sections such as:

• File Instance Details page > right-hand menu > Advanced > Upload File to Server
• Reports > Events > check relevant Event(s) > Actions > Upload File to Server
• Rules > Event Rules > Select Action: Upload File

Environment

• App Control Console: All Supported Versions

Cause

Permissions have not been enabled for the User Role associated with the User.

Resolution

1. Log in to the Console as an administrator.
2. Navigate to Settings > Login Accounts > User Roles
3. Click View Details (pencil icon) for the relevant User Role.
4. Scroll to the Tools section and add missing permissions as necessary, example:
   • View file uploads
   • Manage uploads of inventoried files
   • Manage uploads of files by pathname
   • Access uploaded files
   • Submit files for analysis
5. Save any changes.
