App Control: Submit Approval Request Option Not Available Upon Block

• No option to 'Submit'

Environment

• App Control Console: All Supported Versions

Cause

• Policy/ Notifier settings
• Rule settings

Resolution

Confirm Policy/Notifier Setting:

1. Login to the App Control console
2. Navigate to Assets > Computers
3. Confirm what policy the device is in
4. Navigate to Rules > Policies
5. Click "View Details" on the policy the device is in
6. Click "Edit" on each Notifier under "Notifiers"
7. Confirm Approval Request section is set to either: "Approval Request" OR "Approval Request and Justification"

Confirm Rule settings:

1. Login to the App Control console
2. Determine which rule caused the block:

3. Navigate to Rules > Software Rules
4. Click "View Details" by the rule specified in the block
5. Confirm if:
   • Use Policy Specific Notifier is checked
   • OR
   • Confirm Notifier selected has Approval Request section set to either: "Approval Request" OR "Approval Request and Justification"
