EDR: Cannot download 7.0.0 Linux sensor from yum repo

Issue/Introduction

yum install command with the package fails
 

yum install --downloadonly cb-linux-sensor-installer-7.0.0.14151-1.noarch.rpm
Can not load RPM file: cb-linux-sensor-installer-7.0.0.14151-1.noarch.rpm.
Could not open: cb-linux-sensor-installer-7.0.0.14151-1.noarch.rpm

 

Environment

• EDR Server: 6.x and higher

Cause

The Linux package installer uses a generic name cb-linux-sensor-installer.noarch

Resolution

Use cb-linux-sensor-installer.noarch as the package referenced during download

yum install --downloadonly --downloaddir=/tmp/ cb-linux-sensor-installer.noarch

Additional Information

The linux installer will contain a script that can be run to install on any supported OS
