CB Response: Install error on RHEL "Requires: pcsc-lite-devel"

Issue/Introduction

Error presented during startup:

Error: Package: 1:java-1.8.0-openjdk-headless-1.8.0.201.b09-1.el6_10.x86_64 (rhel-6-server-rpms)
Requires: pcsc-lite-devel(x86-64)

 

Environment

• CB Response Server: All Versions
• RHEL 6.x - 7.x

Cause

The openjdk-headless package has a dependency on pcsc-lite-devel, a package that is in an optional repo.

Resolution

• Run the following command before running through the installation process for Response:
  • RHEL 6.x 

yum install --enablerepo=rhel-6-server-optional-rpms pcsc-lite-devel -y

• RHEL 7.x

yum install --enablerepo=rhel-7-server-optional-rpms pcsc-lite-devel -y

 

Additional Information

The error is caused by a problem in RHEL OS.
