What do the different statuses mean for sensors - Active, Inactive, and Pending?

  • Endpoint Standard (formerly CB Defense) Sensor: All Versions
  • Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions
  • Apple macOS: All Supported Versions

Resolution

StatusDescription
AllAll sensors in the organization, regardless of status
ActiveSensors which have checked in within the last 30 days
DefaultStatus selected when opening the Endpoints page
InactiveSensors which have not checked in within the last 30 days
PendingDevices where an install email was sent to the listed user but sensor has yet to be installed
DeregisteredSensors which have been deregistered or uninstalled
ErrorsSensor is reporting errors, contact support for help
Eligible for UpdateThere is a more current version of the sensor available for deployment
BypassSensors have been put into Bypass mode
QuarantineShows devices that have been put into Quarantine


To View Status Options

  1. Go to the Sensor Management/Endpoints page
  2. Click the Status filter drop-down to the right of the Search bar
  3. Select a Status to filter the list of devices below to view all devices in that status

Error status of a device is not explicit and may indicate a variety of technical problems - from failed or incomplete installation to a malfunction of the sensor; If it's not apparent what the problem is or how to solve it, please open a Support case
