How to apply the license via the back-end

Issue/Introduction

Update the license via the back-end primary server

Environment

• EDR Server: 6.x and higher

Resolution

1. Transfer the .lic file to the primary server
2. Apply the license to the primary server. This will update the primary and all secondary servers.

/usr/share/cb/cblicense -a /path/to/server.lic

Additional Information

• The license update can be verified by checking the server.lic file for the updated end_date

cat /etc/cb/server.lic

• If for some reason the secondary servers have not updated after 10 minutes, the same steps to apply the license can be applied on the secondary servers.
