App Control: How To Clear Agent Prioritization

Issue/Introduction

This article discusses how to clear out any prioritization flags for all endpoints in the CB Protection Server's environment.  This can be helpful if unable to disable each item by hand, or can be used if the upgrade requests have stalled.

Environment

App Control Server: All Supported Versions

Resolution

1. Take a full backup of the DAS database. As this requires running a script against the database, having a good backup is highly recommended
2. Navigate in the console to Administration > System Configuration > Advanced Options
3. Disable the Automatic Upgrades
4. Temporarily stop the App Control Server and Reporter services
5. Download and run the remove_prioritization_upgrade.sql script
6. Start the App Control Server and Reporter services

Additional Information

The script will remove the prioritization of upgrades, then expire the host (force it to disconnect then reconnect).
