How often does the Agent check in with the Server?

Environment

• App Control Agent: All Supported Versions
• App Control Server: All Supported Versions

Resolution

Under normal circumstances, when an Agent has no other data to report and the Server has no changes to push, the Agent will poll the server once every 30 seconds to 10 minutes.

Additional Information

• Default Poll Interval in MS: 30,000
• Max Poll Interval in MS: 600,000
• These can be found under Https://<ServerName>/shepherd_config.php
• Warning: It is not recommended to make any changes under shepherd_config.php without consulting Carbon Black support.
