HTTP Error 503 When Launching the Console

Issue/Introduction

• Receiving HTTP Error 503 when accessing the App Control Console 
• Receive error: Cannot Recycle/Reset Application Pool in IIS manager

Environment

• App Control: 8.x and Higher
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Cause

This can happen if the Carbon Black App Control Server service account doesn't have "logon as a batch job" rights

Resolution

1. Give the Carbon Black App Control Server service account "logon as a batch job" rights
2. Restart the Carbon Black App Control Server service
