App Control: Install error: "Certificate cannot be added to Certificate Store for IIS"

Issue/Introduction

The App Control Server installation is failing with error "Certificate cannot be added to Certificate Store for IIS"

Environment

App Control (formerly CB Protection): All Supported Versions

Cause

Some information in the self signed Certificate screen was changed from the default and the values are not valid

Resolution

If possible, leave the default values on the self signed certificate screen. However:

• If the Password needs to be modified, make sure not to include special characters.
• If adding a Subject Alternative Name (SAN) make sure it is in the following syntax: 

  DNS=<DNS name>,IP=<IP Address>
