CB Defense: VSS Writer Failures When Sensor is Installed

Issue/Introduction

Creating a VSS Shadow Copy or running a backup causes the VSS Shadow Writers to go into a failed state

Environment

• CB Defense PSC Sensor: 3.4.0.1047 and 3.4.0.1070
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Cause

The cause is unknown

Resolution

Upgrading to sensor version 3.4.0.1091 or higher has been seen to resolve the issue
