Endpoint Standard: Windows administrative tools are not working on Windows 2012 servers when sensor is enabled

Issue/Introduction

Some components of Windows administrative tools are greyed out when launched.

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Console: All Versions
• Endpoint Standard Sensor: All Versions
• Microsoft Windows Server 2012
• McAfee agent

Cause

Mcafee was not updated correctly and it's dlls were loading into MMC.exe preventing the snap in from loading.

Resolution

• Update Mcafee to the correct version for the operating system installed.
