Issue/Introduction

Server install fails when the service account has password ending with a backslash with an error message:

Validation of user credentials failed. The username or password is not valid

Environment

• App Control (formerly CB Protection) Server: All Versions

Cause

The "ServerSetupCheck" tool incorrectly parses the password

Resolution

Update the service account password and remove the trailing backslash to complete the install

Additional Information

The password can be updated to have a trailing backslash after installation following the steps to update the service account password
