The Cb Protection Server service failed to start due to the following error: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

• Manually executing "ParityServer.exe" in command prompt results in:

The program can't start because MSVCP140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.

Environment

App Control Server: All Supported Versions (Formerly CB Protection)

Cause

The Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86) and/or (x64) packages were inadvertently uninstalled by a 3rd party app deployment or other reason.

Resolution

Re-install both the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86) and (x64) packages
