Carbon Black Cloud: Can Sensor be Upgraded Automatically When a New Sensor Version is Released?

Is there a mechanism that will allow sensors to be automatically updated when a new version is available?

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud (Formerly PSC) Web Console: All Supported Versions
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions
• Apple macOS: All Supported Versions

Resolution

No.  Upgrade of Sensors currently requires administrator intervention to manually update Sensors through the console or to use a third party method of deployment such as GPO or SCCM.
