CB Defense: How to Enable the Expedited Option for Background Scans

Issue/Introduction

Enable the Expedited option for Background Scans 

Environment

• CB Defense Web Console: October '18 Release and Later
• CB Defense Sensor for Windows: 3.3.x.x and Higher
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Resolution

1. Navigate to Enforce > Policies
2. Select a policy to edit
3. Click on the Sensor tab
4. Check the box next to 'Run background scan'
5. Select Expedited option under Background Scans to enable this option

Additional Information

• The Expedited, or Quick Scan, will run 5x faster than the standard Background Scan
• The Expedited Scan will have a larger affect on performance because of the increased speed and priority
• Expedited scans will not work on Sensors 3.2.x.x and lower
