Issue/Introduction

Sensor installation logs file location on a MacOS endpoint

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Mac Sensor: Supported Versions
• Apple macOS: All Supported Versions

Resolution

1. Navigate to the /Applications/Confer.app directory
2. Right click or Control-Click the Confer.app file
3. Select "Show Package Contents" from the Shortcut Menu
4. The view in Finder will now show the contents of the Confer.app directory, which includes the Sensor installation log files and other Sensor logs

Additional Information

• Some Sensor logs and files are located in hidden directories, such as the /tmp directory
• Enable viewing of hidden files and folders in macOS 10.13 and later with a keyboard shortcut
