Issue/Introduction

End users receive prompts from the Operating System to grant the Sensor Disk, File, or Application access

Environment

• CB Defense PSC Sensor: 3.2.x.x and higher
• Apple macOS: 10.14.5 and higher

Cause

This is expected behavior if the Sensor has not been granted Full Disk Access due to Apple's Privacy Changes introduced with 10.14.5

Resolution

• Review how not granting Full Disk Access affects Sensor behavior
• Carbon Black recommends granting the Sensor Full Disk Access

Additional Information

Granting Full Disk Access is an additional step beyond kernel extension approval and does not replace that process
