Issue/Introduction

Change the IIS identity for the DefaultAppPool and AppCDownloads Application Pools

Environment

• App Control Server: All Versions
• Microsoft Windows Server
• IIS Manager

Resolution

1. On the server open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager console. 
2. Navigate in the left hand window to your server > Application Pools.
3. Select the DefaultAppPool
4. In the right hand menu, select Advanced Settings.
5. Within the Advanced Settings window modify the Identity account
   1. Click the (...) icon on the Identity line
   2. Click the "Custom Account" radio button
   3. Click "Set..." button
   4. Update the user and/or password combination and click OK
6. If running App Control Server version 8.10.4.15 or greater, repeat steps 4 and 5 for the AppCDownloads Application Pool
7. Restart IIS
