Carbon Black Cloud: Sensor does not have Events and does not show Operating System / Sensor Version reported

• Carbon Black Cloud Endpoint Standard (formerly Cb Defense)
• Carbon Black Cloud Enterprise EDR (formerly Cb Threathunter)

Issue/Introduction

• Device shows no Operating System and Sensor Version data on the Endpoints page
• Device shows as Active on Endpoints Page
• Device has same registration time as Last Check-In
• No Events reported on Investigate Page for Device
• Sensor does not show installed on Device

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Console: All Versions
• Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: All Versions

Cause

Registration of Sensor with backend completed but install failed

Resolution

As the Sensor did not install correctly the installer will need to be ran again.
