Endpoint Standard: ForcePoint uninstallation fails via SCCM or Add/Remove programs when CB Defense is installed

Issue/Introduction

• Uninstalling ForcePoint fails silently from Add/Remove programs.
• Uninstalling ForcePoint fails silently from SCCM.
• Uninstalling CB Defense sensor and after a reboot ForcePoint gets uninstalled successfully.

Environment

• Carbon Black (CB) Cloud Console: All Versions
• Carbon Black (CB) Cloud Sensor: 3.6.0.954
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions
• ForcePoint Version: 7.8.0.0

Cause

ForcePoint uninstall fails even with CB Defense sensor in bypass but, uninstall succeeds only when CB Defense sensor is uninstalled.

Resolution

Upgrading the sensor to 3.6.0.1941 and higher version resolves this issue.
