Endpoint Standard: Sensor Failing to Register When 54443 Port is Blocked in the Firewall or Proxy

Issue/Introduction

Sensor fails to register in the console even though 443 port is opened in the firewall or proxy.

Environment

Carbon Black Cloud Console: All supported versions
Endpoint Standard sensor: All supported versions

Cause

Sensor registration to the console happens using both 443 and 54443 ports. If 54443 is blocked then the sensor registration will fail and the endpoint will not get installed on the machine.

Resolution

The traffic through port 54443 and 443 should be allowed in the proxy or firewall for a successful install.
