Cb Defense: MacOS Sensors Fail To Check Into The PSC Console

Issue/Introduction

• MacOS sensors 3.2.2.6 and prior may have shown as Inactive or have not checked into the PSC console for a period of time.
• Events from impacted machines may be delayed.

Environment

• Cb Defense Sensor: 3.2.2.6 And Prior
• Apple macOS: All Supported Versions
• Customers Using This PSC Console URL: https://dashboard.confer.net (Prod01)

Cause

A certificate issue impacting communication with the backend

Resolution

• This issue has been addressed via a backend update

Additional Information

• Sensors do remain operational with the last known policies still being enforced and events will continue to queue up locally in the event of communication failure with the PSC console.
• Sensors that have been freshly installed (not upgraded) since 1.2.3 were not affected by this issue.
