App Control: Trusted Directory Not Approving Linux Files

Issue/Introduction

• After moving Linux files in to a trusted directory, it is noticed that the files are not being approved
• Windows files are being approved without issue

Environment

• App Control Server: All Supported Versions

Cause

• The trusted directory has been configured on a Windows endpoint
• The Windows agent will not find Linux files interesting, and no approvals are generated

Resolution

• In order to generate approvals for Linux files, a second trusted directory should be created on a Linux server that has the agent installed
