App Control: AD Users Not Populating in User Field When Creating Custom Rules

Issue/Introduction

• When creating a custom rule and specifying an active directory user and / or group in the Users field, the dropdown does not populate with a list of users

Environment

• App Control Server: All Supported Versions

Cause

• This is expected behavior

Resolution

• This is currently working as expected
• The Users field does not perform real time AD lookups, so any users / groups can be typed out manually

Additional Information

In some cases the users are populate in the dropdown, because the console does fill in the field with "known" user accounts, such as AD users that have login access to the console  However, for most users and groups, the expectation is to type these in manually in to the input field, rather than rely on the dropdown menu
