Issue/Introduction
When attempting to upgrade the server to a newer version, the upgrade fails. Review of the logs shows this error message
A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The specified network name is no longer available.)
Environment
App Control Server: All Supported Versions
Microsoft SQL Server: All Supported Versions
Cause
Network settings may have changed since initial deployment
Server may be in a DMZ
Resolution
Correct network settings ensuring uninterrupted communication between the App Control Server and the Microsoft SQL Server
If necessary, move the server out of the DMZ in order to perform the upgrade.
