CB Response: Linux Sensor 6.x.x fails to upgrade when initiated from the Web UI

Issue/Introduction

• Sensor upgrade initiated from the Web UI fails.
• This error is seen in  /var/opt/carbonblack/response/log/cbdaemon.log

W0816 16:18:59.449441  1568 webservice-mgr.cpp:1952] Error Installing upgrade script during upgrade

 

Environment

CB Response Linux Sensor: 6.x.x
CB Respoinse Server:  All versions
Linux: All Supported Versions

Cause

This is issue CB-28152.

Resolution

Until this issue is resolved, the workaround is to manually update the Linux sensor.
