Issue/Introduction

Is the EDR Linux Sensor FIPS compliant?

Environment

• EDR Linux sensor: 7.3.x and Higher
• EDR Server: All versions
• Linux OS: All Supported Versions

Resolution

The Linux sensor 7.3.0 and higher is FIPS compliant. Versions prior to that do not have the FIPS compliance. 

FIPS 140-2 Support

• OS support of FIPS 140-2 enforcement can be found on Linux Operating Systems and Respective Sensors (RHEL/Oracle RHCK 7.0+, SUSE 12.0+, Ubuntu 18.04, Ubuntu 20.04)
• Note: there are known issues with FIPS 140-2 on Ubuntu 22.04, unrelated to the EDR Linux Sensor.
