EDR: Microsoft Office 365 applications take 15-30 seconds longer to launch after a reboot.

Issue/Introduction

Microsoft applications such as Outlook and Excel take 15-30 seconds longer to launch after a reboot than without the EDR sensor installed.

Environment

• EDR Sensor for Windows: All versions
• EDR Server: All versions
• Microsoft Office 365 applications: All versions

Cause

This is normal behavior. After a reboot (or for a non-persistent VDI) there is expected overhead of hashing between 200 and 600 MS dlls. 
 

Resolution

After the first launching of the application, subsequent launches are normal.
