Issue/Introduction

  • Old expiring license is being replaced with a new license.
  • New license might be applied on the Primary server with the command "sudo /usr/share/cb/cblicense -a server.lic"
  • The license block displayed in Settings; license page does not match the new license applied
  • New license appears to be installed by running this command "sudo /usr/share/cb/cblicense -d" as it shows the new expiration date.

Environment

  • EDR Server (Formerly CB Response Server): All versions
  • EDR Sensors: All versions
  • Linux: All versions

Cause

This is issue EA-5527. This is only a display problem where the new license is actually installed correctly.
To verify, try this URL in a web browser:
https://<servername>/api/v1/license

Resolution

License is actually installed and the display problem can be ignored.
