EDR: App Control Server Status Unexpectedly Shows as Not Configured

Issue/Introduction

• The EDR Server Dashboard always shows an error: 

VMware Carbon Black App Control Server is not configured.

• But the App Control application is properly configured via the Settings page. 

Environment

• EDR Server: 7.7.x

Cause

There is a known issue with EDR version 7.7.x where the Server dashboard error message is inaccurate. It may be safely ignored as long as the Setting page indicates that App Control is properly configured. This issue is tracked as CB-40248. 

Resolution

This issue is resolved in EDR 7.8.0 and higher.
